Welcome to Neomorphus

We have worked all over the tropics, and although this dotting about has been educational, not to mention great fun, it has left an impression of skimmed surfaces and unfinished business. In deciding to focus on a single region, albeit a large one, we went for the one we loved most: Amazonia, and the adjacent mountains of Peru and Bolivia. Within this area, we are involved with long-term scientific fieldwork, expeditions to remote locations, and collaborations with museums and conservation NGOs. Our main goals are to deepen understanding of tropical and evolutionary biology, and to contribute to conservation initiatives.

This was all getting so complicated that we launched Neomorphus, a unifying structure that attempts to draw various elements together into a single framework. It publicizes our findings, advertises voluntary or paid positions, and documents our progress along the way. Above all, it gives us a chance to share the beauty and magical allure which draws us to the tropics, and which cannot be captured in academic texts.
