Welcome to Neomorphus

Neotropcial Birding We published two articles in the inaugural edition of Neotropical Birding (Summer 2006). The first, written with Stuart Butchart and Nigel Collar of BirdLife International, described the "lost" and poorly known birds of South America. Most of these birds have not been seen for decades, and this article gives would-be re-discoverers all the background they need to seek out these mysterious animals in the field. Read full article.

The second, written with Josep del Hoyo, describes our travels in Bolivia in search of two near-mythical birds, the Wattled Curassow Crax globulosa and the Horned Curassow Pauxi unicornis. The purpose of this article is to explain how anyone can repeat this journey, and help ongoing conservation at the same time. Read full article.

Neotropical Birding is a stunning new magazine for Neotropical Birders. Like its stablemate Cotinga, it can be purchased online as part of a subscription to the Neotropical Bird Club.
